Andrew Dunlop was born in Oban and grew up in the nearby village of Connel where he studied with Geoffrey Heald-Smith until taking up a place at the Royal Northern College of music with the help of a Cross Trust Scholarship. There he studied with the late Mark Ray for his first three years and Carole Presland and Visiting Fellow Alexander Melnikov for his fourth year. Having recently graduated with First Class Honours and the award for the highest piano recital mark Andrew now looks forward to returning for his master's year where his studies will be supported by the RNCM, Countess of Munster Musical Trust, The Craxton Memorial Trust, Sir James Caird Travelling Scholarship, Musicians Benevolent Fund and the Doris Strake Prize from the Worshipful Company of Musicians. Andrew has played in many venues throughout the country as well as on BBC1, BBC 2 and Scottish Television. Recent competition success includes third prize and the Alan Rawsthorne Award in the RNCM Recital Prize 2007; Bronze Medal and Oustanding Commendation at the Marlow International Concerto Competition 2007; finalist in the RNCM Concerto Competition, Manager's Discretionary Award for outstanding performance at the Jacques Samuels Intercollegiate Piano Competition; an award by the John Ireland Society of his complete solo piano works and a Daughter of Dewar Arts Award. Recent concerto performances include Mozart's Concerto in A major K488 with Nottingham Youth Orchestra, Barṭk's Third Piano Concerto with the RNCM Concert Orchestra and Ravel's G Major Piano Concerto as part of RNCM Ravel Portrait in April.
Emma Peaurt completed her postgraduate studies at the RNCM where she studied with Barbara Robotham. She now studies with Pat Hay. She combines working in the duo with roles in opera including Barbarina (Marriage of Figaro) for St John's Opera and Josephine (HMS Pinafore) for St Helen's G&S Society; oratorio including St John Passion for Leicester Bach Choir and 5 Negro Spirituals with the Hallé Choir with opera galas and recitals. A finalist in the AESS English Song Competition 2006 and the Russell Shepherd Memorial Competition 2004 and winner of the Kate Snape Scholarship 2006, Overall singing prize and Recital prize at the Mrs Sunderland Music Festival in 2005 and the Manchester Welsh Society Prize in 2004; she has appeared with Opera North at the Leeds Fuse Festival 2006, the RNCM Baroque Ensemble and the RNCM Wind Orchestra at the Bridgewater Hall. Recently she worked in the chorus of Scottish Opera in their production of Lucia di Lammermoor and had coaching with David Harper, Stephen Mould and Andrew Greene at Opera Australia, Sydney. Future duo engagements include a recital at Bury Parish Church and guest artist appearances with the Rhos Orpheus Male Choir. In addition, they are currently arranging a tour of the Argyll region in
